Concurrent Life Trauma

Congruent Life Trauma

Are you affected by trauma from another life?

  • Do you have an ‘unexplainable’ phobia or fear?
  • Does this fear inhibit your daily life?
  • Do you struggle to trust people?
  • Do you experience ‘flashbacks’ of an event of don’t remember?
  • Do you have strong emotions toward a place or time?

It can be disorientating to discover that we are living multiple lives, and these lives can affect each other. The above symptoms and others can be from a Concurrent Life Trauma, read on to discover if you think you are experiencing this.

What is ‘Concurrent Life Trauma’?

People often openly talk about ‘past lives’, and about their future and manifesting the reality that they want. As humans living a very physical experience we like to believe we understand how things work, this sense of control brings many a sense of peace. It might feel mind blowing to learn that there isn’t really any such thing as a past life, or a future, there is only now. That’s not to say that we don’t experience other lives, and are other versions of ourselves, in different realities, far from it. I and many others recall these lives as clearly as recalling a memory from this life. What I am attempting to explain, is that these lives run simultaneously, as in they are all happening in the now, because that is all there is, what we really have is concurrent lives.

If you are able to get your head around the idea that all your lives are running at the same time, just like a sophisticated computer that can run many programmes simultaneously, then its easier to understand how a trauma occurring in a concurrent life, can, and does affect us in this life. Sometimes this other lives trauma is so significant to us in this life, because it is unresolved, unhealed in that other life. We see evidence of this when we have what some would judge as an ‘irrational fear’, that is a fear that cannot be explained by your experiences in this life, for example, if you got bitten by a large aggressive dog as a child in this life, telling people that you are scared of dogs would seem rational to most. Whereas  trying to explain to people that you are terrified of dogs, when you have no obvious cause, could be deemed irrational by many.

There is no such thing as an irrational fear. Congruent Life Trauma 2

Traumas leave their mark, a trauma from childhood can severely impact an adults daily life, and many traumas can compound and lead to people having significant struggles with aspects of daily living. Trauma can become ingrained into our DNA, and passed down through a genealogy, (Youssef et al 2018, Valelli 2021), this can manifest as fear (again some would deem irrational) but is actually a warning from your ancestors, this however would manifest as ancestral trauma and the approach to healing it is modified from congruent life trauma (please see ‘Ancestral Trauma and Gifts‘ for more on this).

Some indications of concurrent life trauma

  • unexplainable fears and phobias,
  • symptoms that are described as disassociation
  • flashbacks of events you don’t remember experiencing
  • vivid dreams of experiencing something associated with the trauma
  • extreme fear of death (that affects life choices and risk tolerance)
  • feelings and fears around being pursued (would be described as paranoia that someone or something is trying to get you).
  • extreme emotions around a certain place
  • unexplainable mistrust

Releasing a Concurrent Life Trauma

Working on a concurrent life trauma (CLT) is not simple to undertake on your own, formal therapies can be very useful in reprogramming the mind away from the fears and trauma, and hypnotherapy can be very successful in reducing or removing all affecting symptoms. Healing the trauma through shadow work, visiting a soul speaker, shaman or otherwise psychically activated person, might be another option (for those who are not psychically activated themselves).

I personally do not recommend undertaking this work if you are not adequately supported, sober and have a strong set of self management techniques at hand, with the space and time to appropriately self soothe following the experience. CLT healing can be one of the most profound experiences and radically change your current life experience, but it is not an easy or often palatable exercise. If the CLT you experienced was significant enough that it is affecting you through multiple plains then please expect the healing process to at least be emotional.

Illuminating exercise for CLT relief

If you are psychically activated (in particular through visual and auditory abilities, or able to access the Akashic records through meditation) you can use a simple question and answer technique to gain clarity of your CLT. Appropriately prepare yourself (auric cleansing, breath work, grounding and open up psychic channels) and have some idea of the questions you want to ask.

Some people ask out loud, some internally, if safe to do so I would choose verbalising out loud.

It might look like this

“higher self / spirit team/ God/ angels/etc (whatever your preference) … I have a strong fear of x, is there a reason for this?”

Depending on your ability you will likely recieve a confirmation through your Clair.

“I am ready to learn why, please show me (or tell me).”

Then you continue with prompts and questions until you need to stop due to overwhelm or you are satisfied. End the session with questions of what you need to do ‘in the now’ to heal this trauma, and then make clear that you desire the integration of that aspect of self (into your over soul) when healing is complete. If you need to stop due to distress that you cannot manage (tears and emotions arising are completely normal and to be anticipated) indicate out loud that you want to stop.

Please, please do not attempt this work unless you are actually ready and prepared for what you are going to see/hear/experience. Often your higher self will not allow you to access this information if it is not currently in your highest good to do so.

This journey is your responsibility, so go into it prepared.

If you do not want to use a more formal therapy for your CLT, or have tried that but feel there is still healing to do. If you currently do not have the required activated abilities to do this work yourself, or, you do not want to do this work alone, then please seek a trusted shaman or soul speaker.

If you would like to work with me to release a CLT then please use the contact page. Like the other ‘Advanced Shadow work packages’ this work is more suited to someone who has already started their self reflective healing journey. It is important that you have acquired some confidence in the process and have gathered a few tools along the path, I will be with you and support you, but you need to be prepared.
