Reiki as a Healing Modality

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a healing modality, the word Reiki is a combination of two Japanese words, ‘Rei’ means Gods wisdom or higher power, ‘Ki’ means life force energy. There are several variations of Reiki. Usui Reiki was first channelled to Ascended master Mikao Usui when he had a divine experience after meditating for 21 days on mount Kurama. He went on to teach a reported 2000 students the process of the healing modality and those students went on to develop the lineage of reiki practised today.

Sekhem reiki is a high vibrational healing modality that was chanelled to Patrick Zeiglar in the 1980s during a consciousness raising meditation in the great pyramid in Giza. Ancient egyptian high vibrational knowledge combined with the origanal reiki processes created sekhem reiki.

During attunement the Reiki Master teacher attunes the student using divine, sacred and confidential symbols and processes. Through practising these processes on themselves and subsequently healing themselves the student can take the next level and become a practitioner. Reiki healing energy comes from the divine, through the practitioners hands and onto the client, working to harmonise and heal the physical body, but also the spiritual, emotional and energy field.

I am an attuned qualified practitioner of both modalities and use the processes of Usui and Sekhem interchangably during treatments.

Reiki can be delivered using hands on (touch) and also hands off (channeling only), if you have a preferenece please feel free to advise me.

Reiki as a part of the process

Reiki is effective on the physical body and the energetic fields, when Reiki is being channeled energetic blockages can be moved, this can result in physical sensations and emotional feelings rising up. It is entirely normal to feel elation or tearful, any surprising emotions or exciting revelations can be discussed after the treatment, it is all welcome.

 Shadow exposure can leave us feeling raw with exposed emotions, if you’ve ever had successful formal therapy you will know that feeling well. Due to the extensive benefits of Reiki and its ability to shift energetic blockages as well as soothe and relax all energetic and physical bodies, Ascension Roots packages are designed in conjunction with this healing modality. The intention is that we can be undergoing a shadow work journey, and deeply healing ourselves, but are able to continue with our lives after a session.
